According to European regulations, every company involved in the road and sea transport, loading, unloading, shipping and packaging activities of dangerous goods must appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor.

A Safety Advisor has, among others and with regard of the company's undertaking, the following duties:

Monitoring compliance with the requirements governing the the carriage of dangerous goods

Dvising the undertaking on the carriage of dangerous goods

Preparing an annual report which must be preserved for five years and made available to the national authorities
